The Mining Town Legacy
Globe is built on copper. The soil here is heavily mineralized and acidic from a century of mining. This acidity eats away at the base of limestone and marble markers. We call it "base rot."
It looks like the stone is dissolving into the ground. Our memorial restoration services involve neutralizing the soil around the monument and treating the stone to stop this chemical erosion. We stabilize the history before it crumbles.
High Elevation UV
At 3,500 feet, the sun is sharp. It burns the paint out of engravings and oxidizes bronze plaques rapidly. A bronze marker here turns green with corrosion faster than in Phoenix. We specialize in cleaning bronze cemetery markers. We strip the oxidation, restore the dark patina, and seal it against the high-altitude sun.
Slope Washout
Globe is hilly. Monsoons rush down the canyons, washing out the rocky soil from under headstones. A tilting monument is a safety hazard. Our grave site cleaning services include a structural check. We backfill washouts and level the stone, keeping it secure on the steep terrain.
