Highway Exhaust Grease
Hurst is boxed in by Loop 820 and SH 183. Traffic never stops.
Exhaust creates a heavy, oily glaze on the monuments. Rain sits on top of the oil layer; it doesn't wash anything. Standard soap won't dissolve this road film. It needs chemical stripping.

Clay Soil Heaving

This acid dyes the stone a deep brown. The stain soaks into the pore structure. Scrubbing the surface does nothing. It looks like a permanent shadow.
